- Prepare the Pizza Crusts:
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions for your pre-made pizza crusts (typically 400°F or as specified on the package).
- If using homemade dough, roll out two equal-sized pizza crusts.
- Bake the pizza crusts separately for about 10 minutes or until they are just firm but not fully cooked. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Cook the Ground Beef:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
- Assemble the Layer Cake:
- Take one of the baked pizza crusts and place it on a pizza pan or oven-safe plate.
- Spread a layer of pizza sauce (about ½ cup) evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Add half of the cooked ground beef and half of the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
- Layer the Second Crust:
- Place the second pizza crust on top of the first layer, gently pressing down.
- Spread the remaining pizza sauce (½ cup) over this crust.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, followed by the remaining ground beef and pepperoni slices.
- Bake the Pizza Layer Cake:
- Bake the assembled pizza cake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
- Serve:
- Remove the pizza cake from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes before slicing./
- Slice into wedges like a cake and enjoy your multi-layered pizza creation!
