Step 1: Prepare the Scalloped Potatoes
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until the potatoes are evenly coated.
- Grease a baking dish and layer half of the potato mixture in the bottom. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
- Add the remaining potato mixture on top and finish with the remaining cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan.
Step 2: Bake the Potatoes
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Step 3: Cook the Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops
- While the potatoes are baking, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the pork chops with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pork chops during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
Step 4: Serve
- Once everything is cooked, plate the pork chops alongside a generous serving of cheesy scalloped potatoes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and added flavor.
