Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes
Step 1: Prepare the Garlic Butter
- Melt Butter: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add Garlic and Herbs: Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and thyme (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2: Season the Steak and Potatoes
- Season Potatoes: In a large bowl, toss the halved or quartered potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme.
- Season Steaks: Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Step 4: Cook the Potatoes
- Air Fry Potatoes: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Check Doneness: The potatoes should be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Step 5: Cook the Steaks
- Air Fry Steaks: After removing the potatoes, place the steaks in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust the cooking time according to your preferred doneness.
- Rest Steaks: Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute.
Step 6: Combine and Serve
- Drizzle Garlic Butter: Once the steaks have rested, drizzle the garlic butter over the steaks and potatoes.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with additional fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
