Ingredients:
1 kg chicken drumsticks
1/4 cup of home made French onion soup mix. Or 1 45g pkt.
1 tbls flour
4 short cut bacon rashes diced
1 onion sliced
1/2 cup chicken stock
Corn flour to thicken sauce
Canola Spray oil
Directions:
Place chicken flour and French onion mix in a freezer bag. Shake to coat chicken.
Spray browning slow cooker with oil. When hot, brown chicken lightly, add onion and bacon, brown for a further minute or 2.
Switch slow cooker to low.
Add chicken stock and cook for 6hrs. I didn’t turn the chicken.
Remove chicken, switch slow cooker back to brown, mix corn flour with water to make a slurry. Add to slow cooker and whisk until sauce thickens.
Serve and enjoy ? I served with potatoes bake, fresh broccolini and beans.
