wrap burgers

Materials Needed

  • Wax paper, parchment paper, or aluminum foil (Wax paper or parchment is preferable for most cases, as they’re more environmentally friendly and less likely to stick to the burger. Aluminum foil is good for keeping burgers warmer for a longer period.)
  • Stickers or tape (if necessary, for securing the wrap)
  • Labels (if you’re selling them, for branding and ingredient information)

Steps to Wrap Burgers

1. Prepare the Wrap

Cut the wax paper, parchment paper, or aluminum foil into squares that are large enough to completely enclose the burger. A good rule of thumb is to cut a piece that’s about 1.5 times the width of the burger in both directions.

2. Place the Burger

Place the burger in the center of your wrap material. If the burger is particularly juicy or if you’re adding sauce, you might want to double-wrap it to prevent leaks.

3. Fold the Bottom Up

Fold the bottom part of the wrap up over the burger. Make sure it covers at least half of the burger.

4. Fold the Sides

Next, fold in the sides of the wrap towards the center, creating pleats if necessary, so that the entire circumference of the burger is covered. This step is similar to wrapping a present.
