Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce Chicken Pizza

For the Pizza Toppings:

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pizza Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, until frothy.
  2. Stir in flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

2. Roast the Garlic:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil.
  3. Roast in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden. Let it cool, then squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins.
