Smoked Chicken Wings

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then dredge them in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken wings in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes per batch. Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to drain.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, hot sauce, and honey.
  6. Dip each fried chicken wing into the buttery hot sauce mixture, making sure to coat it evenly. Place the coated wings back on the wire rack.
  7. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and crispy.
  8. Serve the crispy chicken wings hot, with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks on the side.

Tips:

  • For extra crispy wings, you can double fry them. After the first fry, let the wings cool for a few minutes, then fry them again for another 5-8 minutes.
  • If you prefer a spicier sauce, you can add more hot sauce to the butter mixture.
  • You can also customize the flavor of the wings by adding different spices or seasonings to the flour mixture.

Enjoy your crispy chicken wings!
