Shrimp Scampi

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces linguine, cooked according to package instructions
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Recipe Directions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the white wine to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and stir until melted.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  8. Serve the shrimp scampi over the cooked linguine, garnished with lemon wedges.
